who we are
H. James (Jim) Bourque has been in quarry development for over forty years developing stone quarries throughout the United States and Canada. As Mountain Stone, he has been in waterfront erosion control for over a decade installing stone break walls throughout the Great Lakes.
The crew of Mountain Stone is responsible for getting the stone from the quarries to the shorelines, laying the erosion control cloth, and property maintenance along with many other jobs the projects require.
Our main trucker providing us with stone to the various sites is Tim “Killer” Walker, a trusted driver of a contracted trucking company who has hauled for us for over ten years. We think of “Killer” as a member of our crew.
Our office personnel consist of Pam Claussen, Ann Bourque, and a yard tech to oversee the grounds and load stone for our local customers.
Pam has been with the company for over a decade and is our go-to person. She oversees the complete operation from customer relationships, working with the governmental agencies, writing and submitting all required permits, scheduling, etc. In other words, Pam is the glue to the whole company.
Ann is responsible for office bookkeeping, submitting required licenses, insurances, etc. She also completes the drawings required for the permits. Her background is many years as a commercial architectural interior designer working on projects throughout the United States.
